Meet Allan

A minute with the clinician you’ll actually see.

Before you reach out, hear how Allan approaches a first visit: no rush, plain language, and a plan you build together.

Read the transcript

Hi, I’m Allan. I’m a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, and I’ve been a nurse for over 20 years.

If you’re here on my website, you may be dealing with anxiety that won’t let up, you may be having trouble sleeping, your mood may be off, people may be saying, “Hey, is there something wrong?” That’s okay. You don’t have to have it figured out before you get ahold of me. We can figure it out together.

We won’t rush through anything. We’ll just talk. We’ll go through your history and what’s going on right now. I’ll explain what I see, what I think may be happening, and we’ll talk about the options and figure out a plan together.

Sometimes that plan includes medications. Most often it includes looking at your life as a whole: your sleep, your work, working with your therapist, maybe your nutrition and your exercise. And we figure out ways to make your life better.

I’d be happy to meet with you and see if we’re a good fit.

How it works

Getting started is simpler than you think.

No referral needed. You can ask questions before committing to anything. Every visit happens by secure video, from wherever you’re comfortable.

    With Allan, by video
  4. Ongoing care

Follow-up visits to fine-tune medication, track progress and support sleep, stress and daily habits.

    Paced to what you need

Integrative by design

Medication is one tool. You’re the whole picture.

Alongside evidence-based medication, Allan looks at the things that quietly drive symptoms: sleep, nutrition, movement, stress and daily routines. Small, realistic changes that make treatment work better.

  • Unhurried first visit. A full history, not a quick checklist.
  • Shared decisions. You’ll understand the why behind every medication choice.
  • Precision options. Genetic testing can help when past medications haven’t worked.
  • Coordinated care. We’ll work with your therapist or primary care provider if you’d like.

Meet your clinician

One clinician, from your first visit on.

Allan has spent more than two decades in nursing and behavioral healthcare, including executive leadership at treatment programs such as The Meadows Behavioral Healthcare. His focus is on understanding what’s really going on, not just what to prescribe.

  • Board-certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner across the lifespan
  • Integrative: evidence-based medication plus sleep, nutrition, movement and stress
  • Also in Arizona, seeing patients in person in Peoria and Wickenburg
More about Allan

Is this a good fit?

We’ll be honest about what telehealth does well, and what it doesn’t.

A great fit if you’re

  • An adult (18+) located in Hawaii or Nevada
  • Looking for a diagnosis, a second opinion or better medication management
  • Comfortable on a video call from a private space
  • Interested in a plan that includes sleep, stress and lifestyle, not just prescriptions

Better served elsewhere if you

  • Are in crisis or need emergency care. Call 911 or 988 now
  • Need inpatient, residential or detox-level care
  • Require in-person visits
  • Not sure? Ask us. We’ll point you to the right level of care

Common questions

Good questions to ask before you start.

Is every appointment by video?

Yes. All PsychiatryCore visits for Hawaii and Nevada happen by secure, HIPAA-compliant video, so you can be seen from home, work or anywhere private. There are no in-person visits in either state; the addresses on this site are administrative only.

Do I have to be in Hawaii or Nevada during my visit?

Yes. Licensing is based on where you are physically located at the time of each visit, so you need to be in Hawaii or Nevada for your appointment. If you’ll be traveling, let us know ahead of time; Allan is also licensed in Arizona.

Do you take insurance?

Hawaii and Nevada visits are currently self-pay: $175 for the initial evaluation and $125 for follow-ups. HSA and FSA cards are accepted, and we provide superbills you can submit for out-of-network reimbursement. See rates & insurance.

Is this therapy?

No. Psychiatric care focuses on diagnosis and medication management, supported by practical lifestyle guidance. Many people do best with both; if you have a therapist, we’re glad to coordinate with them, and we can suggest options if you don’t.

How fast can I be seen?

Reach out and we’ll reply within 1–2 business days with current availability. If you’re on a timeline, tell us in your message and we’ll do our best to fit you in.

What if I’m in crisis?

PsychiatryCore does not provide emergency care. If you are in danger or thinking about harming yourself, call 911, call or text 988, or go to the nearest emergency room.
